This week's fiber of the week is a new favorite of mine. It's Aussi Sock yarn by Oasis, and I just used it for a project for a child's hat with straps. I was requested to make it in a machine washable yarn in vivid colors, so I picked the selection shown above called "Spanish Fiesta." This yarn comes in a remarkably large skein - 400 yards - so if you're a sock knitter, you'll easily get a pair of socks from one skein. But as I found out, sock yarn isn't just for socks any more.
