I am announcing a new contest in addition to our Baby Hat Contest that we run quarterly.
We are running a Helmet Liner contest for the troops overseas. Right now it is winter in Iraq and Afghanistan and our troops are facing some severe winter conditions. There is a need for Helmet Liners to keep them warm. They must be made from 100% wool in approved colors.

We sell the Ella Rae Classic (which is great for this program) at $5 a ball to help facilitate the production of more of these Helmet Liners. This a great sale price for a 100g ball of worsted weight pure wool 5 sts to the inch on US #7.
The Contest mimicks our Baby Hat Contest where each item sent in counts as one entry, no limit as to how many you can send in. To be eligible they must meet the FIBER AND COLOR guidelines. Every quarter we are having a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the store/website for one lucky winner, just like the Baby Hat Contest. What an incredible idea! I'll try to tuck a couple of these in with the baby hats for this quarter. ;) Kudos on your great efforts!
Hi Robert, I have not submitted a baby hat in a while. Somehow I got busy doing so many other things. I see that your site has grown and I did register for the newsletter, etc. I am wondering what the guidelines and colors are for submitting the hats for both causes.
